Dhruv Sarin, MD MPH is a primary care physician who specializes in family medicine and has experience working with patients who have had a very wide range of ages, backgrounds, and healthcare requirements. He understands that there are a vast number of factors that can affect your health, and believes that a comprehensive, whole-patient approach is critical to providing the best medical care possible.
Dr. Sarin is dedicated to creating an honest, open, and judgment-free relationship with each of his patients as individuals, believing that trust and communication are critical to allowing people to make informed decisions about their own course of treatment. He has worked extensively with marginalized communities such as unhoused patients, people who are HIV positive, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, providing care which has included PrEP for HIV prevention and helping trans patients manage hormones and other aspects of their transition. Dr. Sarin strives to help his patients in a way that accounts for not just physical symptoms but also mental health, lifestyle, and environmental or hereditary factors.
After receiving his undergraduate education from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Dr. Sarin completed his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He also obtained a master’s degree in public health from George Washington University. Dr. Sarin fulfilled his residency at Case Medical Center in Cleveland before moving to New York City.
