What you must avoid while taking a nitroimidazole antibiotic

Nitroimidazole antibiotics are extensively used to treat vaginal infections, STDs, and H. pylori. It is often used off-label to treat Crohn’s disease, bite wounds, and oral infections, as well as parasitic diseases like giardia. Thus, this medicine may be administered orally or topically for several causes.

When it was first developed, nitroimidazole was intended to treat parasitic diseases; however, it was later discovered that it was also an effective antibacterial treatment.
