The value of primary care providers in cancer screenings

One cannot stress the need for early cancer screening. The likelihood of an effective outcome improves with each passing day that cancer is identified. Regular cancer screenings and the advantages of early diagnosis are taught to patients mostly by primary care doctors (PCPs). Given a patient’s risk factors—such as family history or lifestyle—they may also provide individualized advice that makes tests more relevant and pressing.
