Feeling SAD This Winter?

Do you or a loved one experience short periods of depression during the winter months? This could be a sign of seasonal affective disorder (SAD), a common form of depression that is related to changes in the seasons.

SAD can occur at different times of the year but is most commonly experienced during the fall and winter months when the days become shorter and colder.

Symptoms of winter-onset SAD may include:

  • Oversleeping
  • Lack of energy
  • Increased appetite
  • Weight gain
  • Feeling sad, hopeless
