How long you should wait to see a doctor for GI symptoms?

Digestive symptoms are common, but knowing when they may require medical attention can help identify and treat potential issues sooner. Doctors recommend seeking care for GI symptoms that persist for two to three weeks, worsen over time, or occur alongside warning signs such as unexplained weight loss, blood in the stool, ongoing abdominal pain, or changes in bowel habits.
