Dr. David Rhee is a board-certified cardiologist specializing in adult general cardiology. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, Cardiac CT, Nuclear Cardiology, and Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound; he is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is conversational in Korean and Spanish.
Before joining Manhattan Cardiology, Dr. Rhee spent 13 years at NYU Langone Health, where he graduated in the inaugural class of the 3-Year MD Program and completed his entire medical training, serving as both Chief Resident and Chief Cardiology Fellow. He remained on faculty as a clinician-educator, managing critically ill patients with advanced and complex cardiovascular disease.
After years of treating advanced cardiac illness, Dr. Rhee built his practice around a clear principle: the greatest impact in cardiology comes from early detection, individualized prevention, and precise, evidence-based care delivered before irreversible damage occurs. His focus is not simply treating disease, but preserving long-term cardiovascular health, performance, and quality of life.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Rhee enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and their very lazy dog.
