Please note that this service can only be provided for existing patients only at this time.

Please note that your insurance policy will be billed for this visit. We feel confident that most payers will cover this service due to the current situation with COVID-19. If your insurer does not cover the visit please be aware you will be charged a visit fee of $95.

Are TeleHealth appointments for new and existing patients?
TeleHealth appointments are for all patients, both new and exiting.
What kinds of appointments can be conducted through video?
During a virtual appointment, we can conduct a sick visit, we can follow up on previous visits, go over your test results with you, we can fulfill refill requests for patients that have not been seen in the last 6 months or fulfill any refill for a controlled substance, and we can answer any Coronavirus (Covid-19) related questions including to discuss a positive result you received elsewhere.
What do I need to conduct a telemedicine appointment?
All you need is a smartphone or computer with internet access and audio/video capability. We will be using Doxy to conduct this visit, so once you get so you get the url for your doctor appointment, you will enter that url to check in here: https://doxy.me/patients#show-check-in
There’s no need to download an application or create an account.
You will receive a doxy link a few minutes before your appointment.
How does it work?
A telehealth session is a live, face to face conversation between you and your doctor and essentially functions just like a regular visit to our office. After you call our office to book an appointment or submit online, we will send you a confirmation email with the date and time of your appointment. You will also be getting set-up instructions for your virtual appointment.
How do I get prescriptions following a TeleHealth appointment?
Medical Offices of Manhattan has partnered with Capsule to offer free same-day prescription delivery to our patients in NYC, so they can safely obtain their medications. Learn more.
If you’re currently outside of NYC, would like to use your existing pharmacy, or need to change where you’d like your prescription sent, please contact us through Chat or give us a call.
What if I don’t want it to be a video call?
As of 2021, most insurers are covering the video call. At this time, most phone calls will be self-pay. The self-pay cost for Virtual Visits is $95. You can discuss with your insurer and potentially submit the receipt for reimbursement but that is the patient’s responsibility.
