Last week, a significant public health body increased its breast cancer screening standards to cover younger women. However, several individuals are worried that one important age group has been left out of the guidelines. On the 30th of April, the United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) made the announcement that women between the ages of 40 and 74 should get mammograms every other year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a substantial departure from the prior recommendations, which said that women should begin getting mammograms every two years at the age of fifty, although they might choose to start getting them as early as forty.
