{"id":5229,"date":"2017-06-29T16:14:18","date_gmt":"2017-06-29T20:14:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.medicalofficesofmanhattan.com\/dont-assume-hair-skin-products-safe\/"},"modified":"2023-05-22T06:37:33","modified_gmt":"2023-05-22T10:37:33","slug":"dont-assume-hair-skin-products-safe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.medicalofficesofmanhattan.com\/es\/blog\/dont-assume-hair-skin-products-safe\/","title":{"rendered":"Don&#8217;t Assume All Hair and Skin Products Are Safe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-reactid=\".8.2.$lazyPlaceholder_facebook_263836407058099_1249291871845876.2.2.0.0.0.0\">\u00a0You would hope that cosmetics would undergo serious safety oversight before they get used on our face, body and hair&#8230; but unfortunately we are finding out that this is not always the case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>We need to understand that the cosmetics industry is largely self-regulated, with no requirements for approval before going on the market. \u00a0And once on the market, there are few systems in place to monitor the safety of personal care products.<\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t know why you&#8217;ve recently been breaking out in\u00a0a rash, experiencing nausea, or even stress for seemingly no reason, it could very well be that new skin our hair product you&#8217;re using. \u00a0It is also not unusual to experience symptoms ranging from frequent burping to a &#8220;racy heartbeat&#8221;, or bumpy skin from health supplements that you ingest&#8230; even if the pills are &#8220;all-natural&#8221;. But, please use new health supplements with caution and it is an even better idea to consult with your doctor about the ingredients, as all-natural pills can still have adverse effects if you have certain medical conditions.<\/p>\n<p>You can report your bad experience to the manufacturer or tell the Food and Drug Administration.
